Welcome!

An unfiltered journey through life as a mum of two

If you’re the type of mum who:

  • Puts on her long winter coat at the school drop-off to cover the fact you’ve not yet had a chance to get ready yourself
  • Avoids eye contact with other parents so you don’t have to make small talk
  • Runs after your child(ren) shouting for them to stop (and sensing the judgemental eyes on you) as they sprint around the corner on their bike/scooter
  • Whose kid(s) has no filter and says it how it is…putting you in very awkward situations

Then this is the place for you.

To sum it up, I’m probably the asian version of Julia from the BBC show, Motherland. If you’re an Amanda, we probably won’t get along – sorry.

    A letter to my uncles

Last year, two of my uncles passed away suddenly. Two deaths that shook my family and I to the core. I still can’t get over it. I still think about them everyday. Still grieve as if it was yesterday. Still can’t seem to wrap my head around what happened and why. You see, these two…

  • Rome-ing around the city of art

Matt and I visited Rome last week which was interesting. I’d always wanted to go and experience the Colosseum and walk through Vatican City, so for me, Rome was a big deal! I’ll stop rambling and instead, tell you what we did (and hopefully give you some ideas if you’re thinking about going 😊): Day…

  • The enchanting world of Slovenia

I know I’ve been a little uncommitted to my blog recently but I’ve just come back from a week in Slovenia and I cannot wait to share my experience with you! I really meant it when I used the word ‘enchanting’ in my title, as this place is magical. You’re probably thinking ‘why Slovenia?’ Well, let…

  • A weekend away in Spain

At the end of last year, and friend and I decided to spontaneously book a 3 day holiday to Spain. As well as a treat to myself for finally getting a new job, I needed to get away from this miserable weather – even if Spain was only a few degrees warmer.
